While the garnet, and suncup, both tend to mound, the tricolor, vibrant hues, of the kiwi are for plant lovers everywhere, not just succulent admirers. Each rosette holds brilliant yellows, reds, and greens. The center of the rosette is yellow, and turns more green as it ages, with the borders being drawn in a soft red. Give them plenty of light to form the most dense bushes with the best colors. Like all aeonium, the kiwi will grow best in the cooler months, and tends not to love excess summer heat. It’s thought to be a variegated sport of aeonium haworthii which has very similar leaf structure, growth pattern, and hardiness, without the yellow variegations.
